Chicago's Andersonville neighborhood stretches from Winnemac Street to the south, Peterson Avenue to the north, Ravenswood Avenue to the west and Glenwood Avenue to the east. The beautiful, ethnic neighborhood is primarily known for it's Swedish heritage. Today, the neighborhood has a large gay and lesbian population.

The main shopping street is Clark Street, which runs roughly north-south, features boutiques, fitness clubs and specialty stores. In addition, the area features numerous gay and lesbian bars, nightclubs and restaurants.
